Graduate student Rebecca Veeneman discusses her research with state Rep. Vern Ehlers, R-Grand Rapids, at the Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) exhibition in Washington, D.C. The annual event brings in researchers and their students to display their work, all of which is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). In 2007 U-M received more than $65 million in NSF funding. CNSF represents science societies, corporations and universities, including U-M, and works to increase federal funding for NSF each year.
