“Hill Barn” is from the exhibit Landscapes of Imagination: Oil Paintings by Daniel James Barry, shown daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. in the University Hospital main lobby, The former teacher and architect’s paintings often begin with the recollection of having been somewhere. Resisting the actual colors from the real place, Barry prefers imagined reality and the interaction of the oil paints on the canvas, as color is where the piece takes on its own reality.
