Photo: ‘Empress Chung’ Feb. 7 at Michigan Theater

The Center for Korean Studies Film Series presents “Empress Chung,” Feb. 7 at 2-4 p.m. in the Michigan Theater screening room. This 2005 North and South Korean animated film was directed by Nelson Shin who spent eight years getting the project off the ground. Most of the animation work was done in North Korea by the Chosun April 26th Children Film Studio. The score was also recorded in the North by the Pyongyang Film and Broadcasting Orchestra.
