Photo: College of Engineering art at the Dude gallery

Inspired by a bracelet, “Abalone” by Shonda Bottke is a mosaic made of transparent Venetian smalti adhered to a mirror and plywood, in an effort to create a depth and jewel-like quality. It joins more than 70 pieces of art covering a wide range of media including photography, stained glass, fiber arts and paintings, in the Duderstadt Center Gallery.
