Library staff member creates narrative with card game
Some people take up golf as a hobby. Robert Havey, who also enjoys time on the links, competitively plays Magic The Gathering. Havey has been playing the competitive card game for 20 years after learning from a neighbor. From then on he was hooked.

Charles Horton Cooley and the looking-glass self
After graduating from U-M in 1887, Charles Horton Cooley earned a master’s degree in economics at U-M and started working at the Interstate Commerce Commission. Henry Carter Adams later hired Cooley to be an instructor in U-M’s economics department.

Obituary: Edward Bagale
Edward Bagale, who retired as vice chancellor for government relations at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2012, died Jan. 18 in Holland, Michigan. He was 70 years old and had been suffering from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
