Marv Fox Jr. to deliver Trotter Lecture

Topics:

For the Second Annual William Monroe Trotter Lecture, Marv Fox Jr. will deliver the keynote address and introduce the narratives of Hattie McKinney of the University of Michigan Black Student Union and Sean Pitt of the University of Michigan Central Student Government.

The William Monroe Trotter Lecture is a public engagement program that will make more visible the works of the W.M. Trotter Multicultural Center as well as Trotter’s legacy as a civil rights activist.

Marv Fox Jr.

At 6 p.m. Feb. 8 in the Michigan Union Rogel Ballroom, Fox will share his model of success, in which to achieve greatness people must dream, declare and commit. McKinney and Pitt will share their journeys to greatness and the trials they had to overcome to become scholars and leaders at U-M.

Fox’s lectures, seminars and workshops create a brave and safe space for participants to exercise the confidence and conviction necessary to develop into the extraordinary people they were fashioned to be.
