Mail-order pharmacy service getting a new name July 1

Topics:

NoviXus Pharmacy Services, U-M’s mail-order pharmacy, will be known as Birdi as of July 1.

Members’ services will remain unchanged by the transition:

  • Account logins and passwords will remain the same.
  • Prescription histories, medical histories, refills and payment information in members’ NoviXus accounts will be securely transferred to their new Birdi accounts July 1.

Members will receive letters from NoviXus that include the Birdi website address within the next few weeks. Those who access the NoviXus website beginning July 1 and afterward will be forwarded to the new Birdi website. The new site will not be active until July 1.

Birdi’s customer service phone number, 877-269-1160, also will remain the same, as will staff in the Novi, Michigan, facility. According to current NoviXus representatives, Birdi plans to incorporate new tools in the future to improve the way the U-M community receives mail-order prescriptions.

Contact U-M’s Shared Services Center toll-free at 866-647-7657 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday with questions.

Eligible employees and retirees pay about 30 percent less for 90-day supplies of prescriptions using the mail-order benefit. Visit hr.umich.edu/mailorder for more information.
