Employees can consent now to receive electronic W-2

Topics:

U-M employees can consent now to receive an electronic PDF copy of their 2013 U-M Form W-2 instead of an identical mailed copy.

Go to Wolverine Access and click on the Faculty & Staff tab, then Employee Self-Service, and then click View Paycheck. Follow the prompt to provide consent before selecting a paycheck.

The 2013 W-2 will be available for viewing and printing in Wolverine Access on Jan. 6, 2014.

By choosing the electronic PDF copy, employees will:

• Avoid having sensitive W-2 information, such as their Social Security number, delivered via U.S. mail.

• Save significant postage costs.

• Help reduce the use of natural resources associated with large-scaling printing and mailing.

Last year, the university saved more than $22,000 in postage thanks to those who received an electronic copy.

Alternatively, hardcopy W-2 Forms will be mailed Jan. 31 to employees who choose to receive their form in the mail. To ensure prompt delivery by the U.S. Postal Service, a current home address must be correct and on file.

Current home addresses may be updated via the Web using Wolverine Access. Address updates also may be made using the “Address/Personal Data Form” available at the Human Resources website. Please update addresses by Jan. 2.

This is a good read! The best way to make a good impression is to send well done PDFs. Check this site PDFFIller.com which I use because it has the most options for customization, and it is very easy to use. I was also able to get the form I need through http://goo.gl/17ZWn8.
