Dental Health Day returns Nov. 10

Free oral screenings are available from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 10 at the School of Dentistry during Dental Health Day.

Appointments are not needed. Individuals regardless of income and young as 5 can participate. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

About a dozen of the school’s dental and dental hygiene faculty along with about 50 dental and dental hygiene students will provide services and oral hygiene instruction in clinics on the first floor of the school at 1011 N. University. Services include free oral cancer screenings, tooth decay examinations, screening x-rays and oral hygiene instruction. Treatments, however, will not be provided.

Patients attending Dental Health Day can park free in the Patient Parking Area (upper level) at the Fletcher Street Parking Garage next to the School of Dentistry. While drivers receive a parking ticket at the gate, they will not have to pay.

For more information, call the School of Dentistry at 763-6933 or toll-free at (888) 707-2500.
