C-SPAN Bus visiting U-M for first time since 2014

C-SPAN’s interactive bus tour is making a stop next week at the University of Michigan.

The 45-foot C-SPAN Bus, which is equipped with 11 large-screen tablets featuring C-SPAN programming and various political and educational resources, will be parked at the Rackham Graduate School, 915 E. Washington St., from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 30.

The bus also has a smart TV, a classroom area and a high-definition TV production studio for taped and live programming.

The C-SPAN Bus previously visited Ann Arbor in 2014.

The bus has traveled around the country since 1993, engaging with community members and elected officials as it helps educate people learn about the American political process. It has been featured at 8,000 events and has hosted 1.5 million visitors, according to C-SPAN’s website.
