Water main project on S. Division to affect traffic for a few weeks

The city of Ann Arbor next week is planning to begin installing a new water main on South Division Street, which will affect traffic on Division and East Jefferson streets at various times over the next three or four weeks.

The work is scheduled to be done in two phases.

University projects approved for capital outlay funding

The Michigan Legislature has voted to approve capital outlay funding for projects on the U-M Ann Arbor, Flint and Dearborn campuses.

The three projects received planning authorization approval last Wednesday and are awaiting Gov. Rick Snyder's signature.

University cancels plans for new transportation facility

The University of Michigan has decided not to move forward with plans to build a new transportation operations and maintenance center on North Campus.

The current project, originally approved in May 2014, will be canceled.
