   Lawmakers seek out U-M faculty for expertise on various topics

   In the last year, 13 U-M faculty members and researchers testified at 14 congressional hearings spanning an array of policy issues, from energy and climate innovation to pandemic relief programs.

   Neil Canfield to direct U-M federal relations efforts in D.C.

   Neil Canfield has joined U-M’s Office of Federal Relations, based in Washington, D.C., and will work with government partners and the university community to support and strengthen its research enterprise.

   Kristina Ko named director of U-M’s office in Washington, D.C.

   Kristina Ko has been appointed executive director of federal relations for U-M’s Washington, D.C., office, which will represent the interests of the offices of Government Relations and Research.

4. March 28, 2019

   Kristina Ko named AVP for research — federal relations for research

   Kristina Ko has been appointed assistant vice president for research — federal relations for research. Her appointment is effective April 1.

5. August 29, 2017

   U-M Washington Office moving to new location

   After 27 years at its current location on the House side of the U.S. Capitol, the U-M Washington Office has moved to a new building on the Senate side.
