Faculty, staff and students are invited to a campuswide “thank you” reception for President Mary Sue Coleman, who is retiring in July.

The appreciation will be from 3-5 p.m. Friday in the Rogel Ballroom of the Michigan Union.

Actor Jeff Daniels, a U-M honorary degree recipient and longtime resident of Washtenaw County, will serve as emcee for a short program that will begin at 3:30 p.m. and feature student entertainment and brief remarks.

Guest books will be available throughout the ballroom for community members to share their thoughts with Coleman. She is retiring after 12 years as president.

The reception is sponsored by the executive officers of the university.

Thank you for being a beacon of light for all women around the world. You have served the University and it’s community with dignity and grace. What an honor to have served under your leadership.
