Regents meeting Dec. 19

The Board of Regents will have its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. Dec. 19 in the Anderson Room of the Michigan Union. To offer public comment at the meeting, sign up in advance at www.regents.umich.edu/meetings/publform.html. Public comments on agenda items will be taken prior to their consideration. Comments on nonagenda items will follow the regular business agenda. People with disabilities who need assistance should contact the Office of the Vice President and Secretary of the University in advance at 734-764-3883. W-2s available in January

2013 Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statements are available in January via two delivery methods. On Jan. 6, faculty and staff should receive an email on receiving the form electronically in Wolverine Access, for printing at that time or later. Alternatively, hardcopy W-2s will be mailed in late January. To ensure prompt delivery by the U.S. Postal Service, home addresses must be correct in payroll records. Update addresses by Jan. 2 at the Employee Self-Service option in Wolverine Access, or use the Address-Personal Data Form on the Human Resources website.

Art submissions sought for Matthaei India exhibit

U-M faculty, staff, students and community members are welcome to submit by Jan. 4 photographic art to be displayed in the exhibit “India As I See It.” The exhibit will appear in the gallery spaces of Matthaei Botanical Gardens during winter 2014 during the LSA theme semester India in the World. U-M recognized for liquid ozone cleaning initiative

At the recent annual conference of the National Association of College Auxiliary Services, University of Michigan Housing was selected as the recipient of the 2013 Innovative Achievement in Auxiliary Services Award for its initiative in aqueous ozone cleaning. The cleaning method is as effective as most chemical agents, and is more sustainable, safer and less expensive.

UMHS excellence awards announced

MLearning and the U-M Health System Educator Advisory Committee present the Excellence in Learning Award for Outstanding Staff Educator, and the Excellence in Leadership Award in Fostering Staff Learning, for managers and supervisors. The awards are for individuals or teams who have demonstrated passion, excellence, creativity and innovation in support of staff learning (not academic education). Winners receive $200.
