As spring break approaches, the University of Michigan is monitoring events related to the Zika virus in the Caribbean, Central America and South America. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns pregnant women and women trying to become pregnant to avoid visiting places where the virus is circulating.

Tax season is a prime time for criminals who may try to file fraudulent tax returns in an attempt to steal tax refunds, or attempt identity theft through emails claiming false problems with a return or tax documents. Information and Technology Services has compiled some tips to help people protect themselves.

An online stalking behavior known as electronic intrusion is common in high school dating relationships, according to a new study by U-M researchers. Teens may create a “cycle of anxiety” in which social media platforms can be both a trigger for relationship anxiety and a tool for partner surveillance to alleviate anxiety.
